Suwa Taisha Shrine near Lake Suwa in Nagano Prefecture is one of the famous shrines in Japan.
Suwa Taisha has a total of four shrines: “Kamisha Hongu”, “Kamisha Maemiya”, “Shimosha Akimiya”, and “Shimosha Harumiya”.
This time, I went to worship at “Shimosha Harumiya”.
It is called ”Harumiya” because the deity is enshrined every year from February to July.
The site is very similar to “Shimosha Akimiya”.
There is a “Kaguraden” in front. In the back is the “Heihaiden”.
“Kaguraden” was built around 1684. It is designated as an important cultural property.
