On the southern tip of the Chita Peninsula in Aichi Prefecture lies Tsubuteura. According to folklore, the rock under the torii gate was thrown there from the opposite shore by the gods of Ise. In actuality, it was formed an estimated 15 million years ago and likely raised by an underwater earthquake. It’s easy to see why this is a popular ‘power spot’ to re-energise your body and mind.
