“There’s nothing special here, but mountains, forests, spring water, and rice fields,” the local people would say. But these precious #riceterraces rimmed with meticulous stone walls, maintained by these modest people for 400 years, are what draw people to Tsuzura Rice Terrace. In autumn, the golden rice fields are lined with red spider lilies, and the village receives thousands of visitors who come to enjoy the walk along one of the “Best 100 Rice Terraces in Japan”.
The Tsuzura Rice Terrace is a 20-minute drive from JR Ukiha Station. In October, you can taste juicy Japanese pears and persimmons at the #pickyourown style orchards in Ukiha City which is famous for delicious fruits!
