Introducing Hotel En Michi’s ‘Artist Residence Rooms’ in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. This collection of bookable rooms was created in 2021 in collaboration with Kawasaki Mural Art Project, a project that saw five artists commissioned to create a huge mural across the maintenance work site enclosure at Kawasaki City Hall. π¨
These same five artists each took over a room within Hotel En Michi to create unique rooms akin to their personal art style. Pictured is the room by Kensuke Takahashi.
FUN FACT: Hotel En Michi is located along the path connecting Kawasaki-shuku, the 2nd post town along the 53 post towns of the ancient Tokaido Road, to Inage Shrine, the guardian shrine of the area.
