We finally got to ride the Gran Class, which is only available on the Tohoku Shinkansen. It’s the true first class on the bullet train, with food, drinks and an attendant on board. We’re heading to the city of Hakodate in Hokkaido. Once we get there, we’ll get some dinner at a mom and pop shop, which serves the most amazing ramen and fried chicken!
