At Seidaiji Temple in Katsuyama, Fukui Prefecture you’ll find Echizen Daibutsu, one of the nation’s largest Buddha statues at 17 metres tall. Equally impressive are the 1,281 smaller Buddha statues lining the walls of the Butsuden building. Hands up if you’d like to see this spectacular sight for yourself. 🙋
