The shooting location was the Uomizuka Observatory in Chiba Prefecture. In the early twilight, I stared at the clouds crawling along the horizon in a straight line. As the sun rose and the sky began to change color, birds began to chirp on the ground, dancing from branch to branch as they came and went. The sun’s rays, which were only visible at that time of the day, turned the birds red and heralded the beginning of a new day with a blessing.
