From the right angle Eshima Ohashi Bridge in Shimane Prefecture definitely looks more like a theme park ride than a bridge to us! 🎢 This seemingly vertical bridge connects two cities, Sakaiminato in Tottori Prefecture and Matsue in Shimane Prefecture and was originally built for ships to pass underneath. Due to its steep appearance the bridge has been nicknamed ‘betafumizaka’ meaning ‘pedal to the metal hill’!
