There’s something about a blanket of fresh snow that makes everything all the more magical – and Omi Jingu in Shiga Prefecture is no exception. ❄️ Located at the base of a mountain on the southwest bank of Lake Biwa, this shrine is a spectacular place to explore, both in the shrine itself and its natural surrounds. 🌳 An afternoon well spent!
FUN FACT: Omi Jingu is featured in ‘Chihayafuru’, a manga that has also been adapted into an anime and series of live-action movies.
