MIFUNE MATSURI AND THE PROBLEM WITH ARASHIYAMA’S BAMBOO FOREST 三船祭り嵐山
The Mifune Matsuri is one of the most unique festivals I’ve seen. It’s a re-enactment of an imperial boating party from the Heian Period held in Arashiyama every year. I also later look at the problem that’s been plaguing the beautiful bamboo forest of Arashiyama.
The shop with the tofu ice cream and donut is called Saga Tofu Ine.
