Oirase Gorge is a 14km stretch leading towards Lake Towada in the northern prefecture of Aomori. It’s famous for it’s gorgeous fall foliage.
In Part 1 of this three part series, we’ll show you how we got there from Tokyo – first a Shinkansen (bullet train) up to Hachinohe and then the JR Bus Tōhoku all the way to the lake – both fully covered by the JR Pass.
