The Rokko Shidare Observatory is located on Kobe’s Mount Rokko, and it combines some excellent views out over the city with a really unique structure!
It was designed by Japanese architect Hiroshi Sanbuchi, and it’s made of cypress wood sourced from Yoshino in Nara Prefecture. Throughout the year, colored LED lights are used to decorate the observatory during different seasons.
