【4K Japan Walk】Tokyo Tower and Zojoji temple. Traditional and Modern in Tokyo.

This time we start our walk from Hamamatsu-cho station, and visit Traditional Zojoji temple before arriving to Tokyo tower. One straight avenue is stretching from Hamamatsu-cho station to Zojoji, and this is an approach road to the Temple. On way of this approach road, there is an Entrance gate of temple and cars are passing under this gate. This is interesting to see how tradition and modern co-exist.
Zojoji temple was built in 1393, and became family temple of Tokugawa who governed Japan in Edo area. There are graves for 6 of Tokugawa shogun in this temple. Also, inside this temple, there is an alley filled with more than 1,000 Ojizo-sama statues (the guardian diety of children). Looking at modern Tokyo tower behind these traditional constructions is quite interesting and Symbolizing a character of Tokyo.

Please enjoy your walk!!😆👍
