Hokoku-ji is a historic temple in Kamakura, Japan, that belongs to the Kench-ji branch of the Rinzai sect of Zen Buddhism. It is also recognized as “Bamboo Temple” because of its bamboo garden. The temple’s main image is a statue of Gautama Buddha in a religious hall named Shaka Nyorai in Japanese.
