Trivia: Hokkaido University is HUGE! Maybe there should be even bigger universities in the world but this is really big for a small country like Japan. Well, everything in Hokkaido is in a bigger scale than main land. Streets are bigger, lands are bigger. Unlike Tokyo, the distance to the next-door house is longer. People often say “Hokkaido is Dekkaido”. (“Dekkai” means big!)
