We are vloging one day in Sapporo, Japan from the locals.

In Japan, very spiritual and sacred locations such as Hokkaido Jingu are often known as “power spots”, and if you visit, you’ll understand why. As soon as you arrive, it almost feels like you’re recharging the batteries of your soul, with its great feeling of peace and calm.
The shrine is not the only thing you can enjoy here as it’s situated in Maruyama Park, a beautiful wooded area where at times you almost forget that you’re in a city with a population of almost 2 million. If you’re lucky, you might even come across a squirrel or two or one of the various species of birds making their own escape from the hustle and bustle of the nearby city.
At 225 metres (738 feet), geologists would disagree that Maruyama is a mountain as it’s under the height requirement to be classed as one, but I’m sure they would agree that the view from the top of this easy climb is stunning. You get a very clear view of the city without the usual exhaustion of a hard trek and the recovery takes seconds! In fact, if you’ve never climbed a mountain before, this is a great taster and you’ll be well rewarded both at the top and during the climb and descent.
There is easy access to Maruyama using the subway to Maruyama station, but if you’re in central Sapporo, it’s not impossible to walk there from Odori Park if you’ve got the time and energy.
