栃木県宇都宮市郊外に静かに佇む若山農場では、東京ドーム約5個分(24ヘクタール)の広大な敷地に非常に良く手入れされた美しい竹林を見る事ができます。
日本には数多くの竹林が存在しますが、きちんと手入れされていて撮影したくなるような、更に撮影可能な竹林は非常に限られています。
京都や鎌倉には、そのような美しい竹林がいくつかありますが、何処もインスタ映えスポットとして日本各地や海外からの多くの観光客でごった返し、ゆっくりと撮影する事が出来ません。
この若山農場は広大な敷地に加え観光客も少なめで、美しい竹林の中で降りそそぐ木漏れ日と笹鳴りの音に包まれながら、癒しの空間で日常を忘れてのんびりと過ごすことが出来ます。
今までお寺や神社で美しい竹林を見てきましたが、これほど大規模でかつ美しく手入れされている竹林は見たことがありませんでした。
受付の方から聞いた話ですが、映画「るろうに剣心」や「キングダム」、さらに「お～いお茶」のCM等にも使われたとの事で、数多くの映画やCMのロケ地として採用されている事も納得がいく美しさです。
今回は日中の撮影のみでしたが、週末の夜にはライトアップ、更に農場内での宿泊も可能らしく、次回はこの非日常的な「絶景空間」の中で癒されながら、じっくり再撮影に挑みたいと思います。
Wakayama farm is located in the outskirts of Utsunomiya and less than 2 hours from Tokyo. You can enjoy one of the most beautiful and yet largest bamboo forests in Japan at this Wakayama farm.
There are so many beautiful bamboo groves in Japan, but beautiful well-maintained bamboo groves are very rare to find. So their well-maintained bamboo groves attract so many people, thus these are always very crowded by lots of tourists and photographers.
But this Wakayama farm is not that popular yet and you can be yourselves (probably on a weekday) in this wonderful Japanese atmosphere.
This place is amazingly beautiful and calm, it is convincing that many movies and TV commercials have been filmed at this farm.
Wakayama farm has been growing and maintaining bamboo forest for over a hundred years, but has opened for tourists just a couple of years back.
It is not too late for having this wonderful experience at this bamboo forest before it’s known as a very popular instagramable spot.
