I have returned! With another Japan travel vlog! Today’s video is the long awaited Osaka day trip. During our 4 day stay in Kyoto, we decided to dedicate one day to visit Osaka. This incredible city is known for being a food lover’s dream and it did not disappoint!
We took a quick ride on the Shinkansen (bullet train) from Kyoto to our first stop, Tenjinbashisuji, the longest shopping street in Japan! Here you can try different foods, grab drinks, and do some souvenir shopping. After a delicious sushi lunch at Harukoma, we picked up dessert and headed to our next stop, Nakanoshima Park! It’s a beautiful rest stop where lots of people gather to hang out in the sun. We took the time to recharge and continued on to the famous Osaka Castle! The museum inside is overshadowed by the amazing view of Osaka you’ll find on the top floor observation deck.
No first-time trip to Osaka is complete without stopping at Dōtonbori! After walking through the streets and checking out all the bright lights and flashy signs, we settled on a restaurant where we ordered Osaka’s famous dish, okonomiyaki. Ending the night at the Dōtonbori Canal, it was a perfect day trip to Osaka!
