Daigoji Temple is one of the largest temple complexes in southeastern Kyoto and spreads across the entire expanse of Mt Daigo. A World Heritage-listed site, the temple is divided into three main areas, Kami-Daigo, Shimo-Daigo and Sanboin. Pictured is Bentendo Hall of Shimo-Daigo, dedicated to the goddess of knowledge and liberal arts.
