This is one of the most memorable trips of my life, it was a 2 days trip to Takayama and Shirakawago(world heritage site).
Shirakawa is a village located in Gifu Prefecture. It is best known for being the site of Shirakawa-gō, a small, traditional village showcasing a building style known as gasshō-zukuri. Together with Gokayama in Nanto and Toyama, it is one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites.
Takayama is a city in Japan’s mountainous Gifu Prefecture. The narrow streets of its Sanmachi Suji historic district are lined with wooden merchants’ houses dating to the Edo Period, along with many small museums.
