Need a reason to head off the beaten path when travel normalizes once more? We think this spot is a massive incentive to check out Fukui, one of Japan’s least visited prefectures (we still don’t know why that is, because it’s beautiful!). Seidaiji Temple is home to the Echizen Great Buddha, along with an incredible number of other Buddhist statues adorning the walls. We hope you’ll have the chance to see it for yourself in the future!
