What a glorious sunset! 🤩 Let us introduce you to the rocky outcrop of Hokojima, located along the spectacular 100km-long Echizen-Kaigan Coast in Fukui Prefecture. Make sure to also stop by Tojinbo a bit further up the coast, where rugged cliffs form a rare geological phenomenon found only in two other places on earth. The giant pentagonal and hexagonal columns of rock created over millions of years by wind and waves are sure to amaze.
📍 A rental car is the most convenient way to explore this area but you can also reach Hokojima in around 50 minutes by bus from Fukui Station.
