It’s almost Golden Week here in Japan! There are several different public holidays during this period, including Children’s Day on May 5th. You’ll see a lot of places hanging koinobori (carp streamers) at this time of year in anticipation – they symbolize hopes for children’s strength and resilience, since carp swim upstream against the current! 🎏
