Shimanami Kaido is one of Japan’s most well-known and stunning cycling routes, challenging riders across a 70km-long course that passes through six islands in the Seto Inland Sea, while rewarding them with impressive coastal views. 🚲🌊

Typically, the route can be covered in 1-2 days, with plenty of interesting stops en route, from quaint seaside villages and citrus groves to venerable Oyamazumi Shrine and impressive Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge, the world’s longest suspension bridge when it opened in 1998. If you’re a keen cyclist, it’s one to add to the list!

📍You can either start the ride from Onomichi on Honshu or Imabari on Shikoku. #VisitJapanAU #Outdoor
