We followed the rainbow and it led us right to Meoto Iwa. π Otherwise known as the ‘Wedded Rocks’, these two sacred rocks are joined by a thick shimenawa rope and offer visitors some pretty unique photo opportunities!
TIPS: For the best snaps, time your visit with high tide when water flows between the rocks. Or set the alarm early during summer when the sun rises between the two formations. On clear days you can even spot Mt. Fuji in the distance. Simply unmissable!
πMeoto Iwa is located in Mie Prefecture. Renting a car is the best way to access the shrine and explore the surrounding areas, although public transport options are also available.
