When the views are this good, we could sit here all day! 😍 This is a traditional thatched farmhouse in Ochiai Village, which was originally built in the Edo Period. Recently renovated, there are now eight houses (collectively known as Tougenkyo-Iya) that can be rented to guests and visitors.
📍Located on the edge of a steep mountain slope, deep within the remote Iya Valley in Tokushima Prefecture, the area is famed for its unspoilt natural scenery, sheer tranquillity and absolute seclusion. It’s nothing short of sublime.
