Is this the largest and most beautiful cooking pot you’ve ever seen? Okay, it’s actually a crater lake but it’s called Okama Crater because it looks like a cauldron. 🍲🏔

📍This can be found at the top of Mt. Zao in the Tohoku region. It’s an impressive 27-metres deep with a circumference of 1,000 metres, and its water appears to change colour depending on the light and weather. If you’re lucky, you may be greeted by brilliant emerald or turquoise hues, like in this photo by @pat_kay.
