Kimonos

Kimonos in Japan
14 October – 1 November 2019

During our tour of Japan we regularly saw women in traditional Japanese kimonos. They were mainly Japanese ladies, but we also saw some gentlemen in the traditional kimonos. The often colorful kimonos brightened up the street scene, but were still most visible at the tourist attractions in Tokyo at the Senso Ji temple, in Nikko, on the Nakasendo path in Tsumago and Magome, on Miyajima near Hiroshima, in Kumamoto near the castle and of course in Kyoto at the Togetsukyo Bridge, the Bamboo Forest, the many temples, the Golden Pavilion and the Niji Castle.
