橋杭岩は、和歌山県東牟婁郡串本町にある奇岩群。同町の大字鬮野川小字橋杭の海岸から紀伊大島方面へ大小約40の岩が南西一列におよそ850メートルもの長きにわたって連続してそそり立っている。直線上に岩が立ち並ぶ姿が橋の杭のように見えることから橋杭岩と呼ばれている。
Hashigui-iwa Rock is one of the many beautiful natural wonders of Wakayama prefecture. Featuring a straight line of large and small unusually shaped rocks which stretches for around 850 meters, it appears to be the stakes of a bridge. The fantastic scenery colored by the sunrise is especially popular as a photo-taking spot. One legend says that the monk Kobo Daishi attempted to build a bridge here.
