The outside of this building may look like a theater or a fancy concert hall, but in actuality it’s a department store! Mitsukoshi is Japan’s oldest department store, with a history dating back to 1673 – it actually started as a kimono retailer! This particular building in Nihonbashi is almost 100 years old; it was built in 1925.
