A true sight to behold! Introducing the 1,281 small Buddha statues housed within Seidaiji Temple in Katsuyama, Fukui Prefecture! 😮 The temple is also home to the Echizen Daibutsu (a.k.a. The Great Buddha of Echizen) – a seated Buddha statue, which at 17 metres is taller than the Great Buddha in Nara.
📍The temple is accessible from Katsuyama Station. From here take the community bus heading to Heisenji Hakusan Shrine, alight at the ‘Daibutsu-mae’ stop and it’s a short walk from here.
