The Yubatake (hot water field) is a sight to behold and the symbol of Kusatsu Onsen in Gunma Prefecture. 😮♨️ Geothermal water rises to the surface straight from the source, then is cooled as it passes through a series of wooden chutes and plunges into a reservoir that various ryokan and public baths use for the perfect onsen soak.
