there are maybe cheaper hotels than this one, however it is best positioned, directly in front of the station and where the buses for Kurobe Dam are departing and if you stay here you will get a discount coupon for the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route and so you will pay around 2000 yen less and they have a lovely breakfast buffet and a Hot Spring also! I got the room on a higher floor with a nice view on the beautiful mountains! Given the low price, the room was very cutely appointed with a stylish design, it has its own bathroom if you don’t want to go down to the big hot spring area. the hot spring itself was not hot enough for my taste because I prefer really hot 44 c but it was elegant and enjoyable. this location is great if you want to go and visit the highest point on the Alpine route but will not find place to sleep there overnight.
