Let us introduce the unique Sazaedo Temple in Fukushima Prefecture. Built in 1796, this temple is named after its shape, which is similar to that of a turban shell (or “sazae”) 🐚 Its distinctive double-helix staircase means that those walking up and down don’t pass each other, and its other noticeable quality are its walls and ceilings, which are covered in bills 💵
