静岡県富士宮市
富士山の周辺には伏流した流れによる、水がメインの観光地が多くあります。
富士山の西側にある日本の滝百選 白糸の滝もその一つで、
富士川の支流である芝川に掛かる直瀑の横から何本もの伏流水が流れ出します。
辺り一帯は観光地となっており、連休中などは程よい賑わいを見せます。
滝見台からの白糸の滝と富士山の眺望は有名です。
ただ、白糸の滝と富士山との間は意外と開いており日の当たり方もかなり異なるため、
この２つを一つの写真に収めるのは結構難しいです。
滝見台やお土産売り場の所からは遊歩道があり滝の前まで行くことができます。
ずらりと並ぶ潜流瀑。
さすがに爽快な眺めです。
川の水も透明感が非常に高くキレイで、真夏でもとても冷たいです。
一番奥に掛かっているのは芝川からの直瀑です。
辺りに水しぶきが飛び交い、まるで水のカーテンのようになっています。
滝見台の横から少し入いり込んだところにある御貧水は、極めて美しい湧水。
芝川はこの辺では枝分かれしており、片割れには音止の滝が掛かります。
ちなみに白糸の滝と音止の滝の２つ合わせて日本の滝百選の一つになっています。
