My First Trip to Japan Series- Part 3

On this day, we woke up early to grab our breakfast (else they close pretty soon :)). Headed to the station to catch the Shinkansen going towards Osaka. Arrived just in time before the ticket counter closed for the soon to leave train. However there were tickets available for the smoking-allowed coach only. Opted for that as the next train would take awhile and Tokyo to Osaka was going to take a while. We wanted to not reach midday.
Great experience soaking in the sights as we left the city and headed through the country side. Got a good glimpse of the Mount Fuji as well.
Another Shinkansen would pass us by, and their high speed made our train jerk outwards away from the other train due to the air pocket created.
Our plan was to visit the giant aquarium – Kaiyukan, so upon arriving at Osaka, walked up to there. Pretty and quite streets. Was fun walking them.
One has to start at the top of this aquarium and head downward- something like starting with the semi aquatic life and going towards to aquatic life as we go lower down the floors.
Wonderful species of various sea life were there to see. A bit larger space for some would have been even greater.
Once done, we took a ride on the site seeing ship with an old fashioned design- a splendid replica of the famous Santa Maria – sailed by Columbus.
Though it was windy, and some tourists chose to stay indoor, we hung around on the upper deck to look around.
After the ride we chose to head towards Kyoto, Japan’s Old Capital, and a really beautiful place, saving the traditional sites of the old city.
Upon arriving we called it a night as we had plans to look around the next day.
Hope you enjoy this compilation. Stay safe, and take care!

Alo Japan.
