Happy Saturday! Here’s Episode 2 of my Fukuoka / Kyushu trip series. Today, I’m taking you to Takachiho in Miyazaki Prefecture, famous for its Gorge.
How to get there?
Best and easiest way is to rent a car, but because it was more than 3.5 hours one way and I was on my own, I opted for the bus instead (4,000 yen one way). The bus departed Hakata Bus Terminal at around 8:30 am and we arrived just before midday.
Official Boat Rental
The price is 3,000yen for the boat + 1,000yen per person (4,000 for one person in total) and the rental time is 30 mins. You can book early, which I recommend in busier seasons as well as when inbound overseas tourists will be allowed back into the country because it’s a popular spot and activity.
