This festival of the mountains ethnic minorities of Thailand was held simultaneously with SHAMBHLA FESTIVAL in Chiang Dao on 28th February 2010. Chiang Dao is located two hours on the north from Chaing Mai.

The ethnic minorityies’ parade and Okinawan Eisa drams were performed in the main street of Chaing Dao. At least eight or more minority peoples participated in this festival, like Hmong people, Akha people, Mon people and more.

In the Okinawan folk song, we danced together with the minority peoples of Thailand. The minority peoples learned quickly the choreography of Okinawan dances. It was a very exciting experience!
We also played Sanshin, Okinawan traditional instruments in font of them.
