日本三大曳山祭之一的秩父夜祭享有盛名，極盡豪華絢爛的山車，又別名「會動的陽明門」。在搭上舞台的山車上演出歌舞伎，就連在日本國內亦十分稀有。冬天的煙火是一大重點。
