[4K] Berlin Germany City Walk in 2020 – Walking Tour along Spree River

This 4K video tour in Berlin City, Germany offers a great way to enjoy a virtual walk and Berlin city on a hot summer day in August 2020. Here I am walking along the Spree River and Montbijou Park and then to the Sophien Church. Berlin is the capital and largest city of Germany.

With 3.9 Million inhabitants make it the most populous city proper of the European Union. It is surrounded by the state of Brandenburg, and contiguous with Potsdam, Brandenburg’s capital. The two cities are at the center of the Berlin-Brandenburg capital region, which is Germany’s third-largest metropolitan region after the Rhine-Ruhr and Rhine-Main regions. Berlin straddles the banks of the River Spree, which flows into the River Havel in the western borough of Spandau. Among the city’s main topographical features are the many lakes in the western and southeastern boroughs. The Spree is a river that flows through the Saxony, Brandenburg and Berlin states of Germany, and in the Ústí nad Labem region of the Czech Republic. It is the river on which the original centre of Berlin was built.

I am starting this walk at the James-Simon Park, then follow a simple route along the Spree River where I pass various sightseeing spots. After a while I will then turn to the right towards the Sophien Church.
