The soft ringing of wind chimes were originally used to purify the misfortunes carried by the wind, replacing it with happiness and good health. At Minase Shrine in Osaka Prefecture, wind chimes containing people’s words of gratitude are strung, which can be read by others to pass on feelings of strength and power. The beautiful display is available until early September.
