Today we will visit Musashi-Kosugi, an area in Kawasaki that has undergone a huge transformation in the last decades. In the late 1900’s, this area was not noteworthy at all, but rather one of many suburban towns next to Tokyo. But since then, countless high-rise condominium complexes has sprung up, and several train lines are now connected to the area, making it attractive thanks to its excellent commuting features. Central Tokyo, Central Yokohama as well as Downtown Kawasaki, can all be reached without any train transfers in about 20 minutes, making it very accessible and thus also very popular.

The area has such a high density of high-rise buildings that it feels rather surreal to walk the streets below. It’s actually quite different from any other place I’ve been to in Japan, thanks to the impressive skyline.
