Mount Fuji

Mount Fuji also called Fujisan is located on the island of Honshu and is with 3,776.24 metres the highest Mountain in Japan. Mount Fuji lies about 100 kilometres south-west of Tokyo and can be seen from there on clear days. Mount Fuji’s exceptionally symmetrical cone, which is snow-capped for about 5 months a year, is commonly used as a cultural icon of Japan. Mount Fuji is the single most popular tourist site in Japan, for both Japanese and foreign tourists.
