Say hello to Beppu’s Chinoike Jigoku, or “bloody hell pool”! This part of Japan has a number of different hot springs that you’ll see venting steam, but this one is unique because of its striking red hue. The color is courtesy of the high levels of iron oxide in the water! ♨️
