It is a registered historical building of Yokohama. It was originally built at 45 Yamate Town as a residence for foreigners after the Great Kanto Earthquake. It became the property of the Roman Catholic Church Diocese of Yokohama after World War II, and was used as the parish house of the Yamate Catholic Church until 1991. Located within the Yamate Italian Garden.

🔴The Home of a Diplomat

It is one of the Important Cultural Properties of Japan. The American-Victorian style foreign residence sitting in the Yamate Italian Garden housed the diplomat of the Meiji Government, who served as the New York consul general. The rooms such as the dining room, the reception room, the study, and the bed rooms show the living style of the Meiji period. *There is a resting space overlooking the view of the Yamate Italian Garden.

It is a registered historical building of Yokohama. It was originally built in 1927 as an apartment for foreigners. Panel exhibits that show the history of the Yamate are displayed on the 1st floor.

🔴British House

It is a designated cultural property of Yokohama originally built in 1937 as the British consular residence. It was designed by the Shanghai branch of the British Office of Works. Salon concerts are held in the hall on the first floor. It is located at the edge of the Rose Garden of Minato-no-mieru-oka Park, and the roses are in full bloom from April to June and from October to November.

🔴Motomachi Shopping Street

There is a symbolic arch with a phoenix-shaped sculpture at the entrances on both ends. The street is lined up with many well-established brand shops of Yokohama Traditional Fashion, as well as other clothing, variety goods, antique, cutlery, furniture, jewelry and popular foreign brand shops, delicious restaurants and fashionable cafes. Benches for resting and watering holes for pets are placed, offering a friendly environment for both humans and pets.
