岐阜市の繁華街、柳ヶ瀬商店街から財運UPで有名な金神社(ごがねじんじゃ)を経由してJR岐阜駅まで歩いてきました。柳ヶ瀬商店街は美川憲一さんの「柳ヶ瀬ブルース」の舞台になった歓楽街。この日は月1回のイベント「サンデービルヂングマーケット」があるらしく出店者が準備に追われていました。
柳ヶ瀬商店街は一時期よりは賑わいを取り戻したものの閉店している店も多くあり少し寂しさも感じましたが、街の皆さんが今一度柳ヶ瀬を盛り上げようと頑張っているのが商店街から伝わってきました。意外といっては失礼ですが柳ケ瀬から駅前は飲み屋が多く夜遊びには困らないと思います。

I walked from the downtown area of Gifu City, Yanagase Shopping Street, to JR Gifu Station via the famous Shinto shrine (Kogane jinja) . Yanagase Shopping Street is a red-light district that became the model for “Yanagase Blues” sung by Kenichi Mikawa. On this day, the owner of the store was busy preparing for the once-a-month event “Sunday Building Market”.
Some of the shops in Yanagase Shopping Street were closed, so I felt a little lonely, but the people in the shopping street are working hard to attract people. There are many bars＆pubs from Yanagase to Gifu station, so you don’t have to worry about playing at night.
