The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is a world famous mountain sightseeing route in the Northern Japan Alps that reaches elevations of over 9,000 feet. A famous springtime attraction here are the Murodo Snow Walls, with some points reaching almost 60 feet in height. The route is closed during winter because of heavy snow, but this year opens up to visitors on April 15th. ~
