I lug a heavy backpack from Lake Shoji across Panorama-dai to Lake Motosu, where I spend a night camping at Kouan Campsite, famed for the view burned into the back of the Japanese 1000yen banknote.

Various things went awry, and Fuji remained hidden behind clouds most of the time, but all in all it was a very fulfilling trip. There is something about Lake Motosu’s gentle waves that soothes one to the very soul.

Music written and performed/synthesized by me:
“Gentle Anticipation”
“Komorebi Trail”
“Floating on Grass”
“Lakeside Melancholy”
“Ripples on Motosuko”
