We could’ve dedicated an entire week to purely exploring and eating our way through the awesome insanity that is Dotonbori. If you’re visiting Osaka with kids, we highly recommend coming to this area after the sun has set, it’s one of the best things to do in Osaka at night. Gawk at the giant restaurant signboards and immerse yourself in the craziness.
While you’re in Dotonbori, Osaka, don’t forget to snap a selfie with the famous Glico Man, take a stroll on the boardwalk at Tombori River, eat all the Takoyaki and Japanese street snacks that your stomach can handle, and get your retail therapy on inside the shopping arcade at Shinsaibashi, Osaka.
That being said, we can’t call it an Osaka travel guide without including the famous Hozenji Temple and its moss statue. Be sure to take your kids there and make a wish (it might just come true). If the kids have had enough of sightseeing for the day, take the minions to stretch their legs on the amazing rooftop at Namba Parks. If that’s not enough physical exertion for them, head over to Round1 Stadium in Namba, Osaka, and go absolutely wild inside. This was, hands down, one of the top things to do in Osaka with kids and adults alike. Get inside a batting cage, play a round of bowling, spend hours at the arcade, go rollerblading or segway riding.. anything is possible inside this amazing entertainment centre.
