Kawachi Wisteria Garden is a private garden located in the wooded hills south of central Kitakyushu, on the island of Kyushu. The garden is famous for its spectacularly presented, large numbers of wisteria flowers. The garden is opened to the public seasonally during the wisteria season which usually peaks around late April to mid May and during the maple leaf season in autumn. Note that for wisteria season, you’ll need to purchase a ticket in advance prior to visiting. We recommend you speak to your hotel concierge prior to visiting to make arrangements.
